The past few months has seen Liquid scale greater heights in Counter-Strike, but change is always part of the process. GBJames has been an important part of developing our team into one of North America’s best, yet our time together must come to an end. We arrived at this decision after much debate, and both parties believe that it is for the best. We hope that James will continue to turn potential into reality with another team, and we know that we will be able to continue our upward trajectory into the upcoming majors.
GBJames on us parting ways:
„I would like to thank Team Liquid for the opportunity to coach a great group of guys and I wish them the best of luck in the future.“

As of today I will no longer be coaching Team Liquid. I’m happy to have had the opportunity to coach such great players and see our hard work turn into great results. The organization took a chance on me as a coach and I take great pride knowing we went from a team missing ESEA playoffs before I arrived to finishing 3rd/4th at the first million dollar Major during my stay. I think we can all be proud of those results.
Unfortunately there is also a business side to Counter-Strike. While both Team Liquid and I want the team to be successful, we couldn’t align our visions on how best to accomplish this. I want to thank Team Liquid, its players, and fans for the support while we became the best in N.A.
I look forward to coaching another top team in the near future.
